Doctor Filippo Stefani dental clinic is an historical one in the city. It all started in 1936 with his grandfather Mario Stefani who was a prosthodontist in Canareggio, then in 1960 the father, Doctor Giorgio Stefani medical Surgeon specialized in Dentistry, opened the clinic in San Marcuola. In 1999 Filippo Stefani opened the clinic in Campo Manin. In the Venetian dialect the word “stefani” is used to say “teeth”, so some people in Canareggio think that it is so because of the Stefani family. Instead “stefani” comes from the Greek word “stephanos=crown”.
